    I`ll still have the adaptor... but I`m gonna pass on the pads at those prices. I`ll get myself some pads the next time I place an order from the US.

    Doesn`t seem like much is happening here, so I`m going to try a different route and get some 8.5" LC pads that fit the Makita 6.5" stock backing plate... both have the centering hole, so they should centre perfectly.
