It seems as though I am reading mixed things as far as the application of PERL to tires mainly some spray it, some apply with a applicator. I just ordered some, so I am wondering how you apply it and why?

Since PERL is a liquid (Milky type) it is sprayable as well as able to be wiped on. It really depends on how you like to apply tire dressing. With a liquid like this I prefer to either spray a tire and then use an applicator to spread -or- spray the applicator and apply. Using the applicator should help to get a better more even coverage.
Thank you for your insights I was thinking of doing it this way to avoid overspray. But it seemed like some people were getting better coverage spraying on and spreading like Troy said first. I guess I may have to just test and see what I like.
Spray on tire or spray on applicator whichever works for you. I have my pearl in a squeeze bottle and just apply it on an applicator.
I spray it on tire (diluted 1:1) and let it sit for a few minutes than wipe off

I`ve been using it in a fantasea fine mist 2.5 oz sprayer 1:1 then spreading with an applicator. Then applying a second coat 20 minutes or so later and the results have been fantastic. I found that sprayer gave me lots less overspray on my low profile tires than what I was previously using.
