    1Z Colortec wheel cleaner

I picked up a bottle of this the other day. used it today on my wifes Impreza and the wheels where pretty dirty..been a few weeks since I was able to clean it. I would say it cleaned as good as sonax but compared to Sonax when agitated it foams up alot. Sonax doesnt foam or suds at all when scrubbing. I will def buy it again. it does stink just as bad as the others. they added a slight cherry scent but its still stinky as hell.

I also feel the sprayer is a bit better. Compared to Sonax you get more coverage per spray so you use less products cleaning the wheels so last longer.

it seems to change color a little faster. I probably got purple going after about a min.
I dont see why it wouldnt be safe on painted calipers.

Some products, like Iron X, will sometimes turn the rotors and calipers as well as wheel weights a green color. I currently use Sonax and haven`t had any issues but I`m leery when trying out new stuff.

    Re: 1Z Colortec wheel cleaner

sorry..I will take pics of it next time. probably this week as I will be doing my WRX and gonna see how they work on it. I have my calipers painted on it so see what happens. I dont think i will have any issue as I have used Griots HD wheel cleaner, Ironx, Sonax, and now Colortec all are iron removing products and I never had a problem.

    Re: 1Z Colortec wheel cleaner

here some pics tonight was washing my WRX. Now this car hardly ever gets driven, So the purple effect isnt as strong as there isnt much to react with.
This is about after 20sec or so

after about 2min it was basically the same maybe a tad more purple but not much so it reacts really fast.
here is it foaming up after agitation
