Question GTechniq C5 Wheel Armor Question

I read a review and some posts about this product. Sounds very enticing.

How would you clean the wheels after applying this product? If I used a wheel cleaner product, like Sonax for example, would it remove the coating of the C5?

I`m building my shopping cart and see that Sonax Wheel cleaner is on sale. But if I get the C5 maybe I don`t need wheel cleaner?

    You got it.

Once you have your wheels properly prepped and sealed you shouldn`t need much more than soap and water. I even do this while using BF Metal sealant to seal my wheels.

Re: GTechniq C5 Wheel Armor Question

In my experience, C5 is chemical resistant. You could use a wheel clean (not sure how many times) to remove it although, as mentioned in the thread, there should not really be a reason to use one after C5 has been applied. Let us know what you think!

For the cost of C5 I think I would go with OC2.0 and do multiple vehicles. OC/OG on wheels is simply amazing.

Re: GTechniq C5 Wheel Armor Question

C5 is fantastic. It is recommended that wheel cleaners not be used, but soap and water.

I find that it keeps most of the dust off the wheels so they are not hard to clean at all.

If need be for a bit of a stronger solution, a citrus cleaner like P21S Total Auto Wash can be used without ill affect.
