    Wheel well brushes

Wheel wells are my least favorite thing when washing a car. What are you using to clean them? I have an old brush from Griots that I was using. The angle of the head is nice but the bristles are too stiff to fit most cars. I really can only use it on trucks that sit up higher.

I have heard nice things about Mother`s brushes

I got two long handle brushes at a local janitorial supply. One is a toilet brush flat bristles, then other us a long handle with soft bristles only on one side. Both work great for me.

I end up using a sponge if I really want them clean. It just seems to clean better than just a brush.

I`ve been using a microfiber wash mitt but my arm ends up wet and dirty and sometimes I scrape it up if there isn`t much clearance.

A small wash mitt. I was thinking a good tire brush might do the trick. There aint nothing pretty about washing the wheel wells

My Passat is lowered 1" and I always had trouble with a standard wheel well brush not fitting between the tire and well -- tried allot of brushes--a standard toilet bowl brush has worked out the best in my case

I have often wondered how well a toilet brush would work but for some reason I could never bring myself to try it. Now knowing someone else does maybe I`ll give it a shot. Seems that the shape would work great. lol

I have a toilet brush I bought to help clean the driveshaft tunnel under a car. I never used it again but I think I`ll dig it out and give it a try.

It has just the right angle to get deep into the fender well.

    Re: Wheel well brushes

I have the Mothers and really like it, as much as you can like any brush in cleaning the wheel wells. Have yet to find a brush that works in almost all wheel weels and probably never will. Some vehicles just don`t have enough clearance, especially with all the different size tires people use now.

    Re: Wheel well brushes

Mother`s Fender Well Brush is very nice, as is the various sized Wheel Woolies. I would say my personal preference is the Wheel Woolies because they work exceptionally well with a cleaner or soap and water, and the thick, sturdy handle allows you to get into tight areas.
