I plan on updating this thread with a weekly follow up, then every 2-4 weeks after that.

SONUS Trim and Motor Kote: 2 month update!

After two months I proud to report that this amazing product is still going strong. My engine is definately getting dirtier and has a light coat of dust on it (it also has been 5k since I first applied this product).

Next I will give the engine a light batch with some mild car soap and see how SONUS Trim & Motor Kote holds up. So far I am amazed!

    Looks Great.

I just got to use mine for the first time over the weekend. Definitely a different application method than other products.

Yes you have to let it sit with out touching (hard to do sometimes!)

Todd, another outstanding review, thank you! Will be picking this up very soon.

I do have a question for you.

In the pic below your sparying the product near the filter, which is uncovered, I`m wondering is product safe to get on the filter?

And is the engine safe from whatever product that gets breathed in through the filter and then into the engine (even if a little product gets on the filter - which could be more and more internally with continuned use when detailing our engines)?

Need to place an order, how is that holding up long term? What about follow up cleaning Todd?

While I am not a mechanic (I just play one when somebody asks me a question on ingestion) I would personally not worry about the microscopic amount of product that gets sucked into the engine and likely expelled. I am not suggesting that you spray a steady stream into the throttle body with the engine at wide-open-throttle, but a little blow by mist shouldn`t hurt anything at all.

That said, it wouldn`t be a bad idea the filter if it is exposed (I do this when degreasing/washing an engine).

Check 3 posts above yours, I just posted an update from 2 weeks ago (at the two month mark) and minus some light dust, it looks like I just applied it.

WOW not bad and even better at $9.99 cant go wrong. I have been using hyper dressing on some plastic trim. Might have to pick this up.
