    Here`s a fun fact....

So I have started prepping my Roush for a carshow here in Houston put on by the Mustang Club of Houston on Halloween. I am taking pictures to document the process and am optimistic it will turn out well.

Anyhow, got the car washed last night with the two bucket method, leaf blower and microfiber waffle dried. Pull it in and start to work on the first wheel well. Not too bad... quick easy clean except for the brake dust caked on from having to "bed in" the brakes due to a little squeal I developed.

Now here`s the fun fact... I start cleaning the back side of the wheel and find stamped right there on my proudly-made-in-america car that the wheels are made in China. I was disappointed to say the least. Who would have thought Roush would get their wheels from China of all places.:banghead:

It`s pretty hard to find wheels that AREN`T made in China!!! Factory Corvette wheels are made in Italy, but most of the aftermarket wheels available are made in China.

Good old American muscle, rollin` on Chinese wheels.......Don`t you just hate that?!

There oughta be a law. Director The Corvette is an icon that does not deserve to be demeaned by Chinese wheels thank goodness they get them from Italy, at least. I wonder just how safe chinese wheels are. Chinese manufacturing standards are virtually non-existent. The wheels I have on the Benz were made in Italy...I went and looked after reading this!

Whats sad is my pop`s Acura contains more American parts than some traditional American cars. Actually found that out last week when one of my hillbillyish friends was giving my dad crap for driving an import, so of course after 5 minutes of arguing my buddy shut his mouth and couldn`t believe that his car was the import.

My Harley has parts from Japan on it. Talk about an American Icon!! Thankfully no Chinese parts!

IMO it`s too late, it`s become a Global Economy. Everything is mixed now. My Nissan Titan is made here in the US and many "american" cars are produced in Canada and Mexico. what are you gonna do????

I had an 87 jeep wrangler that had an amc motor, a chrysler tranny, a gm steering column and the carpets had to have been from china. So this has been going on for awhile now Sleep
