Hello RaskyR1,
Yes it is my car.
It is actually a 1979 MGB.
I bought the car brand new in 1979.
It is all original, only has 28,400 miles and has never been in the rain!
I just put the wires on 2 weeks ago.
Here is a before and after.
Wow! That thing looks mint! I`m working on two Healey`s right now and they have the same wheels.
Reason i asked if it was your personal vehicle is that there are a few good wire wheel cleaners but they are very stong and wouldn`t suggest using them often.
Looks like you will just have to do it the hard way.
maybe look into getting a few different brushes. the EZ mini would be a good one.
or something like this.
Bets to clean often so you don`t need a strong cleaner.
Thanks for the compliment and advice RaskyR1.
Did you notice the license plate?
My nephew helped me detail last weekend.
He is the only one of my sisters 5 boys to take any interest.
Hello Rasky,
I found the thread on the Healey?s.
Absolutely stunning detail job!!!
You da MAN!!!!
Thanks Luster!
I like the look of the wires also.
I was told to use this product?
Meguiar?s Quik Wheel Detailer.
It is advertised as the slickest product out there.
Brake dust will not stick to it.
Have you used this product? What do you think?
I wouldnt Meg`s quick wheel detailer slick! It`s more of a very very light wipedown cleaner. Pretty much a "quick detailer" for your wheels.
