removing clear vcoat off porsche wheels

    Hi guys,
    Have a customer with a 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera.
He has tried to remove the clear coat and or after 20 odd years its dull and chipped. What i need to know is how to remove the rest of the coating which is suprisingly robust. Tried Balckfire ally polish and P21s polishing soap which did bugger all. Any suggestions out there, thanks people.
    Rusty.

Paint Stripper should remove clear coat paint or clean the damaged area with Prepsol and then sand the scratched or damaged area with Norton 3X Sandpaper (p-graded aluminium oxide grain,) 60, 80 or 100 grit sand paper, sand wet or dry with a wooden sanding block.

Do you have the factory Fuchs mounted?

The Fuchs were anodized and should not be clear coated.
