that`s a good point.. I have a speedmaster jr that broke off the handle. I planned on using it wrapped in a crappy micro or finding some other way to get to the tight fender areas...might just need to jack the cars up- could be easier - couple mins a side compared to becoming a contortionist

I have a Griots fender well brush for trucks and vehicles with enough clearance...and I got one of these for vehicles where that brush does not fit (made by a company called BirdRock):

I have used the Sonus Motor and Trim Kote in my fenderwells. It holds up better than most and is easy enough to apply.

3D Ultra Protectant mixed 3 or 4 to 1. You can also use it on engine compartments too. Not greasy and plates out very nice.

    Re: Fender Well Dressing

I have used both the CG and the griots products you have listed. Both are oily and will leave a mess on the pavement under where you spray if you get it to heavy or have overspray. If you choose one of these go with the cheaper option as they are so similar.

I considered Dlux but with all the prep and work to apply it I didn`t see the point as the wheel wells take a beating and would most likely remove Dlux very quickly.

Hydro would be an option but I`m not sure it will darken and give the look and results you are after. But it would be a good test to try it out.

I have used Sonus Trim & Motor Kote. But once again it seems expensive for the application and results.

I have switched over to Hyperdressing as it has multiple ratios and is easy to apply. And being water based it clean up easy if you have overspray.

I have some of this. I thought it is RTU. But you say you like to dilute it? I was going to buy the thick one next because I thought that is the one you like to dilute...

    Re: Fender Well Dressing

We used it straight for tires, but dilute it for engines, interiors & wheel wells.

Thick is so darn thick you`ll need a paint brush to apply it. I`ve yet to dilute it.

    Re: Fender Well Dressing

In my opinion, it depends on how much time you have for the initial application and how often you are willing to freshen them up.

On on my new lease vehicle, which has Black plastic wheel wells that are fairly visible (Chevy Equinox)...I chose to coat them with DLUX

As part of my weekly wash routine, I pressure wash, spray Megs Synthetic Spray Wax and wipe with a MF.
I do not need a scrub brush at all.

The DLUX has held up for a year and 27k miles.

If if you are doing production work, or are not willing to invest the time up front...almost anything that has been mentioned will last from one wash to the next.

I had that product in mind to use on wheel wells and now with your feedback it makes it more compelling for me to try it
