Can someone explain the difference between Abrasives and solvents?

There is a lot of talk about how abrasive products are.

There are mentions of products that contain solvents.

Is there a relationship or difference between the terms?

    Inquiring minds want to know!

Abrasives use mechanical/physical friction (abrasion) to physically wear down another surface. Solvents use chemicals to degrade and dissolve.

Many products use both in their makeup..

When 6.5" is too much, talking about LC Pads!

I have the following new (still in plastic) pads that I can`t use anymore since switching to a Cyclo:
    Hydro - (1) Cyan (2) Tangerine
    CCS - (2) Green, (2) Black
    Flat - (1) Blue, (2) Black
    (2) - PFW

Used: (but in very good condition)
    Flat: (2) Blue, (2) White, (1) Gray

Also I have a new jar of Lusso Oro, and several Dodo sample jars too.

    PM me for more info
