Car care/detailing sadly isn`t high on the agenda for 98% of australians.
Another new guy here - in Perth.
I`ve just bought a new car (guard`s red) and it`s just covered in fine swirl marks in a circular motion. I noticed them tonight under a dim incandescent light in the garage! Under sunlight they are a lot worse especially with all the curves.
So, I`m sorting thru the posts and deciding what to do. The service manager at the dealer says they will remove them and I`d like a pro to do it so I can concentrate on cleaning and sealing/waxing. But I`m also afraid they`ll let whoverer did this touch my car again - sigh.
Nice to see so many Aussies. Big wave to you all.
I know of a true pro that can do the job at the cost of the dealer
Your car has holograms from rotary polishing incorrectly,

Hi All NOOB Australian here.
Does anyone know of any other sources other than waxit to purchase a good random-orbit? I`d like to at least do a price comparison but where to look?
Well many tool suppliers like Gasweld
Check their site for a store in your state

On the Orbital question, I guess you need to consider which brand will suit from the units available locally or whether you want to go down the path of importing from the US and using a step down transformer. I have the Hitachi myself which does a reasonable job. The only advice is, don`t go for a cheapie as it will likely disappoint.
Heading towards "obsessed" - Got Orbital, been to my Detailing Workshop and now understand Orbital & Clay
As for orbitals, I had a go with a festool and really enjoyed it
I also have a PC but not got the adaptor yet
