    Permanon 5% over DLux

    I while back I won a Permanon sample from Autopia with an agreement to do a review. I never found a use for it, because I use mainly conventional LSPs. But it always bugged me that I agreed to do a review and never did it. I figured I would try it over DLux on some trim. So far, results are awesome.

    DLux topped with Permanon are on the mud flaps and step rails. While the beading may look like this is some super greasy silicone dressing, make no mistake this stuff is 100% dry to the touch.

    I`ll keep you updated on the durability. Basically to use this stuff, you just mix up a 5% solution and spray it on clean (no wax or sealant) paint. Rinse off immediately. You can use it on wax, but durability is short, that why I haven`t used it because I wanted to give it a fair shot.

    I figure it should work well over DLux, because I`m guessing the technology is the same.

    I think they are different technologies.

    Opti Coat = SiC
    Cquartz, Hydro2 = SiO2
    Permanon = Si

    Silicon-based but not the same.
