    small company called GEMS... we do offshore geology / soils engineering for the oil majors (make sure they don`t drill into something bad, and design foundations to make sure the rigs dont fall over and/or float away, basically). Not a whole lot of offshore work right now with the capital expenditure cuts from all the companies.

    What did you do? I think shale is still (*very slowly*) moving, but industry is pretty bad right now. Cheap gas prices though! haha

    I`m trying to become a process operator... motiva (shell) is still hiring so that`s kind of a good sign. they have plenty of other non-oil refineries around too

    Raw Material Sales/Distributor over at Continental Alloys. I was working on a Baker Hughes account. They suffered thousands of layoffs and we had been slow for about a year now so I knew it was coming.
