Hey there Ron…yea, first thing I did was removed the tags.
Some were sewn in, so i carefully removed those with scissors making sure not to get too close to the stitching….. tedious job for sure if one has a lot of towels. lol
I then inspected each before washing to make sure the quality was ok.
They are now in my HE front loader with a pack of ALL free & clear along with a little BlackFire MF cleaner and distilled white vinegar.
I was sure to wash the black MF towels separate in case they bled….wasn`t sure and didn`t want to take the chance.
Next, I`ll be drying on air dry only until dry enough to take out, fold, and put away into my new plastic bins.
Life is good!

vinegar for final rinse cycle or by it self. w detergent it sorta defeats the purpose
I hate to rain on your parade, but if labels were sewn on, don`t use em on paint
i`d also be worried about what the whole micro was sewn with then (ie probably nylon thread [think fishing line])

The only MF towels that actually had the tags were the black ones and the multicolored ones that are in the plastic bin on bottom right hand corner.
These MF towels will ONLY be used for wheels (black) and all the multi colored ones will be used on door jams and misc… all the nice ones such as gold plush jrs and such will be used on paint only.
Oh, and also the 16x16 Window WW MF towels also had sewn in tags …these will only be used for glass of course.
The kirklands will also be used for misc throwaways ….
For drying I purchased an electric B&D leaf blower that I use exclusively for drying my vehicle only and a nice WW MF.
I would like to think I learned a lot from you guys in the short amount of time i`ve been lurking here and over at the sister site

what are your guys` suggestions on separating towels when washing them?
I know tire towels should def be washed separate from glass towels of course …thats just common sense.
but what about compound and polish towels? Interior trim? Exterior trim? Leather?
