I need to buy a new cabinet or shelving rack for my products as the home-brew wooden concoction finally broke. I`ve eyed this cabinet and this shelving rack. Which do you think is the better buy and better for storing my supplies? I would keep things neater if I had a cabinet, but on the other hand, the shelves are easy to grab something and go. Comments? Thoughts?

I`d go with the cabinet as you can always leave the doors open if you are going to be going back and forth. And when the doors are closed it has a cleaner look to it.

Plus, the bottles and shelves won`t get dusty when in a cabinet. That`s the problem I have with all my detailing stuff in my basement. It gets dusty sitting on the shelves.

Looking back, I wish I would have bought cabinets instead of the shelves for the very reasons some are saying.

Thanks guys. Your cabinet setup is really impressive Brad! The little organizers are a great idea. I think I`m going to go with a cabinet. Does anyone know where full metal cabinets can be bought? It all seems to be plastic out there...

    Thanks again.

You can go to an office supply store like Staples. Look for a company called HON. They make decent metal cabinets that should suit your needs. http://www.hon.com/products/DisplayP...1261&segment=C

Thanks Spilchy. I never would have thought of going to an office supply store for one, it seems the cabinets sold there are perfect!

Craftsman makes a really nice metal cabinet with shelving on the doors. Its a bit price, though at $289.

I have the same cabinet you linked in your first post. Well, almost the same thing, mine is half the size, but its the same brand and everything, yours is just twice as tall. Anyways, I would recommend against it, as loading it up with products causes the shelves to bend and form a "U" shape. Definitely go for something made of wood or metal.

BTW, here is the link to the Craftsman cabinet I was talking about. Its a very nice unit, and after seeing the prices of the metal cabinets sold at Staples that someone else posted, I`d definitely go for this.
