Chuck,
Your plans look great. Thanks for the kind words about my garage. It`s the best investment that I`ve ever made.
The 10.5` ceilings are a great idea. You`ll have plenty of room for a lift.
I`m getting ready to add a 2nd lift to my 4-car garage section. It`s starting to get a little crowded.
Let me know if you have any questions about the construction process. There are plenty of small details to consider.

I read this title of the thread and had to laugh- thats a good one, my new garage with attached house.
Good luck with your build, hopefully someday I will be able to have a garage that big at my house.
I`d like to do a nice garage someday or a nice car port. Good luck with the build.
Just an idea, but laying radiant heat tubing in your slab would be an ideal heat. the tubing isnt that much money and could just be stubbed up in the corner for a future heating boiler or to attach to the one you might already be getting. ( I`m not sure you getting hot water heat or hot air.)
Minimal cost now for an awesome luxury later!

Please keep us posted on your build. That way I can live vicariuosly thru your adventure.
Good Luck!!
Update 11/17/05: They poured the concrete for the driveway and garage Monday the 14th and they cut it yesterday. We are scheduled to start framing the 21st but given the way the weather has been this week it looks like this might be a long process this winter.
That is looking good. Nice and big. When are they going to pour the concrete for the house though?
Im not sure what you mean? The only concrete left is the front porch and front walk and basement floor, all of which dont get completed until the house is almost finsihed as far as I know. They still have to run drain lines and the roughed in plumbing for a bathroom in the basement yet.
Thanks for the update!!
I sure like to see the progress. Hope the weather holds out for you. Will ask for some help from upstairs tonite. Just for your garage build.
Keep us posted. :2thumbs:
Chuck, until you start construction I think you could land small aircraft on all that concrete! That`s going to make a great garage! :up
