i just got an in-line water filter for the hose. it takes std cartridges.
What type of cartridge should i get. they have sediment filters (paper or string) and charcoal filters.
(hard water)

LJ, there are many types of filter out there so you need to find the one that`s for your purpose (washing the car). Charcoal filter usually will not remove all the minerals like the reverse osmosis one.

I don`t think and in line filter will remove your hard water. As far as I know the only way to remove hard water is to get a softner. Even with a softner you still won`t get a spot free finish. The only way to achieve spot free finish is to get an RO system. Good Luck
