I have never had a problem using the rhino ramps. I use them all the time for oil changes and getting under the front of the car. I have only used front-wheel drive cars and I`ve notices that the ramps sort of get "sucked" under the wheels. It works very well for me. I can see how someone with RWD would have to anchor the ramps in some fashion to prevent them from moving.

I think that as long as you have the ramps centered with the wheels and drive the car up them straight, then there shouldn`t be any problems. And they save quite a bit of time compared to jacking up the car and using jack stands. IMHO

I hate using ramps! We were rolling my friends 72 Celica off of a set of ramps one day and one of the ramps shot out and hit my shin...could of been a lot worse.

I love my rhino ramps. Use it for my civic, the accord, and the taurus. Never had a problem with them.

I was having this problem too with my 350z.

I have a thin foam rubber mat that I put under each ramp.

This keeps them from sliding as you move up.

Get two rubber backed door mats and set them under the ramps. This is the fastest and easiest way I know of to stop ramps from sliding, hasn`t failed me yet. Where`s the knock on wood smilie when you need it. LOL

I like Patricks idea placing the 2 x 4 in front of the ramps. I once slid my ramps and my front bumper almost contacted the front wall......talk about heart attack.:scared

It would be nice to find a way to contact the Manufacturer and let them know that this is an issue and better placed rubber pads would be nice.

Did you try putting the truck in four wheel drive? Worth a try and probably the easiest.

I never have a problem with my FWD and AWD cars; and they are lighter.

My truck is only RWD. I`m gonna try that floor mat idea next time I change the oil.

Hmm, I love my Rhinos so far. The scariest thing I`ve ever seen is how the ramps get stuck under the wheels, lift off the ground (because the pads stick up 1/2"), and then fall back down again as the car moves forward. Still works though.

I always make sure the ground is clean and dust-free under the pads and that the rubber pads are likewise. No slipping so far on my (smooth, unsealed) concrete floor.

I Havn`t had any problems with my ramps. They do move forward alittle, I use one foot on the brake and the other on the gas. You do need to give a bit of gas to accellerate up the ramp.

I tried the floor mat idea and it worked for my truck. Ramps did not move an inch!

I do the same thing on my automatic car. Try it on a manual. It is MUCH more difficult. I would probably use jack stands on the clearance is difficult to get a jack under the car.

I really like the ramps and have zero complaints.
