Hi there.
I have just seen this thread, being a newbie to this site and am amazed at your construction project and the speed in which the house is being built !
The house looks fantastic and being a Building Surveyor over the atlantic in the UK, it`s very intersting to see the differences in construction methods between the USA and UK. One thing I have noticed is the differnce in efficiency between the two countries......the same project in the UK would have taken a lot longer to get to your current stage.
Anyway, all the best and I will keep tuned into the future developments and update pictures for the new build.
Regards
Nick M
Nick M,
Thanks for the compliments. I`m surprised how quickly things are going also. My builder seems to have all his suppliers and subcontractors streamlined for efficiency. Hopefully we will be moving into the new house in January.
UPDATE (Nov. 8 `04)
The semi-custom cabinets are being installed into the 2 car garage. Notice the washer and dryer connections. No more washing car towels with the baby clothes!
The cabinets were surprisingly affordable (about $1700 installed) considering how expensive "Gladiator" garage cabinets are. Can you believe that this workbench is $500 ?
Here`s a few pics:
Oops, almost forgot updated exterior pictures. I won`t bore you guys with mundane pictures of the kitchen, bedrooms, etc.
Thx Dean, the garage pics are looking great! ya keep the other rooms to your self.. LOL

Thanks Dean. I always enjoy an update of my favorite super-garage.
My wife and I, sad to say, watched that new cheesy show last night on luxury lifestyles with the ubertan George Hamilton. I think this automotive palace may qualify you for a segment some day.

I keep thinking I`ll throw some pictures of my new garage (to be) up but it pales in comparision to this monster. It`s a 3 car set up with a 2 post lift going in the single bay (total of 1400 square feet). Somehow it just doesn`t seem worthy of this thread. Concrete`s in (it was cut yesterday) and framing starts monday.

My opinion? Start a new thread. Many more folks will see it.
I`d love to!

GearHead_1,
Please do post a thread on your construction. 1400 sq feet of garage space is nothing to sneeze at! Mine`s not going to be that much bigger (1900 sq ft).
UPDATE:
The concrete subcontractor just finished the stamped concrete rear patio and front entrance. He`s an "Increte" dealer. I`m so pleased with the look I think I`ll have parts of the driveway "accented" with it.
Cool!

I`m using this same product on front and rear entries as well as over my vault cap.
My garage floors were just cut on Friday. I`ll get a pic today and post one.

Very nice Dean.
Will there be an Autopian only grand opening event?

Dean,
Here`s a couple of pics. I don`t mean to hi-jack your thread.
The 2 car portion is 28` X 28`. The single bay is 18` X 32` and will house the 2 post lift. It`s a total of 1358 sq. ft.
