    Dean,

Any update on the progress of your garage?

Breathlessly waiting for the next installment. This has been a great series...

Sorry for the delayed updates, fellas.

I`m not sure how to post pics since Autopia management now discourages attachments. So instead, I`ll try a few links.

    UPDATE:

The roof is done, and the brick is about 70% done. The 4 car garage is insulated, and the 2 car garage is sheet-rocked.

    *phatphob,

Thanks for the ideas about the driveway. I`ll ask my contractor how much that decorative border would cost

Definitely try to do something to break up all of the concrete. It adds some to the cost of the driveway but not much.

This is the best picture I have of the driveway. It looks nice and really takes your eyes away from the gray. Excuse the mess, LOL.

    SilverLexus,

    Ask and you shall receive!

As of today the exterior brick is 95% complete. The 4 and 2 car garages are sheetrocked. The home networking wiring is in place...and yes, the garages are getting internet/TV access!

    Dean

In the deep end of the 4 car garage, I`ll have a workbench area and the 4 post lift:

The rather conventionally sized 2 car garage with washer/dryer and sink connections:

You need to contact HGTV or at least DIY and get your garage on TV. IT`S GREAT!

Yeah, I wonder if you could get some floor covering company sponsor to do your garage floors for free, then we all could see it on TV. Wouldn`t that be the shizz??

BTW, what are you planning on covering the floors with anyway??

Thanks again for all the encouragement. The floor is going to have an acid based treatment called "Staincrete." It`s supposed to be more durable than epoxy, and costs about $2.50/ sq ft.

Here`s a picture that I recently took while on vacation at SeaWord. This appears to be a clear-coated, acid etched concrete:
