Haven`t been here in quite a while. Retired, sold home and relocated to San Antonio last year. Finally found some work and have just contracted to have a new home built. I`ve never had a garage, so I`m really pumped! Construction begins next week.

My garage will be 20x20. I`m mostly concerned with the organization of all my stuff. I have a 3 tier toolbox and a 60 gallon compressor. I know where those are going, and a workbench will be constructed along the same wall. Problem is storage of all the supplies. I have lots of cans of stuff, not all just car stuff, along with things like power tools. I can`t decide if a long shelf would be best, or some sort of cabinet. Any suggestions from experience of what works best?

Cabinet are nice, they keep supplies clean and give an uncluttered look.

I got alot of kitchen cabinets cheap, they were seconds from a distributor.
