Pennzoil Platinum 5w20. I switched from Mobil 1. Not only cheaper, but seems to be better as well as returning 1-2 more MPG on average (although that may be due to my switch to Shell gas, among many other factors).

I do not know about that. Example, I can buy Redline and Amsoil OTC..Best is what you are trying to get from it (oil).

Agreed. GC, Redline, Amsoil are on the same level. Never seen the last two in stores, though. You`ve got better retailers than me. GC is available at Autozone.

Just did my oil change today. I have always been using Mobil 1 10w30 Full Synthetic oil, heard it`s synthetic blend now, but they have Mobil 1 Full Synthetic, and Synthetic blend, so I`m not sure I used the full synthetic though.

Because they do not NEED to be. When they change oil formulation, if you are API approved you need to re-test oil (aka cost $$$) and there ZDDP levels are higher then API allow. For me I could give too <BLANKs> about the API specs and use Amsoil. Worked great for over 16 years on my UOA.

Same here...works very well in my `02 WS6.
