Garages on these prefab homes and such are very small. Mine is a 2 car garage but its only 20x20 so really its a 1 and a half car garage.

I hear ya on that my house is a cookie cutter one with a 2 car and it will only hold 2 if there is absolutely nothing on the sides of the garage. Doesn`t matter to me though as my mustang is the only car that is nice and goes in there. But i have done 2 cars in mine and its tight not something you could do every day.

First of all, it looks very nice.

Ern, my garage is exactly the same as yours in the first pic. I`m looking to cover the additional walls like you but I have a few questions:

1) Around how much money did you spend on the whole project?

2) If you did everything yourself, what material did you use?

I hope you can answer these questions and I look forward to some answers.

Let me get back to you on it. Sorry I havent responded sooner. It wasnt much if I remember but lemme check into what It cost me and ill let you know.

My dad and I did it. We used 5 8x4 sheets of drywall, 2 boxes of drywall screws, drywall tape (1 roll), couple gallons of mud, sand screens and 2 sandscreen holders. Prepare for massive amounts of dust lol. Wear a face mask. We cut all the lengths with a square, straight level and a utility knife. The bottoms of the walls had a gap so I think we used 1x2s? 8 feet long? Doesnt matter, it was something to make a baseboard. I used left over drywall screws for that.

I didnt spend much. I dont remember the total but it was less than $100.

Wow I thought it would`ve been more! What`s the mud for? And can you paint over the drywall once it`s finished?

Mud, spackel or whatever you want to call it. Use it to fill in the joints and over the screws to make the wall nice and smooth. Ya it was pretty friggin cheap to do. I was surprised. Yes you can paint it but you need to wait until the Mud, spackel or whatever you want to call it has dried and been sanded down and the walls have been whiped down.
