    hey guys.

i have a big problem. there are grease/oil spots that i cannot take off.

i have a white honda accord. i recently shipped my car across the country and after receiving the car, i noticed that the car was very dirty, but didn`t know that there were grease/oil spots, which are very noticeable and disgusting. after trying to wash the car, i realized a lot of black spots that didn`t erase. i asked my friend and he told me that it was grease/oil spots from the exhaust of the truck that dried on my car cause of the hot weather. he also said that it would cost a lot of money to detail the car to get rid of the spots.

is there any other cheaper way to fix this problem? maybe a clay bar?

    please help! thanks.

I would try a bug & tar remover or even just some WD-40 first

I know what you`re talking about. They are little black specks on the rear bumper and trunk lid from the exhaust, right? Wash it as well as you can with a wool mit and then take a clay bar to it. It will pull out the specks with ease.

You may want to use a polish to clean it up. Something with a fine abrasive quality.
