Nice work, that bug looks great. A friend of mine had a `72. That was a FUN car to drive.

    Comments from the client.

Frankly the work you did on the car gives it a whole new life. Can’t stop at any store without someone making a comment. The biggest challenge is trying to keep it looking this way.

    Thanks everyone!!

Believe it or not Beetles have been one of my favorite cars, despite the lack of engine power and "coolness" factors. To me there has always been something "cool" about the original bugs, I don`t have the same feeling toward the "New Beetle" though.

The pics of this red super beetle just rekindled my old feelings.

I can still remember years ago when I worked at a "service station" while in school, we had a contest between us on who could be the first to squeeze $5.00 of gas into a bug.

Re: 1974 VW Supebeetle & BlackFire

My Father bought one in the 60`s. His best friend brought a buddy over early in the morning and jacked it up so the wheels were just an inch above the driveway. They hid in the bushes and watched as my Dad got in and couldn`t figure out why the hell the car would not engage the gears and move! Years later they would retell the story to me and laugh themselves to tears.
