Dan .... A question for you if I may based on your response.

I`ve typically use a sealant (currently Ultima Paint Guard Plus) on my wheels. The dirt releases much easier and I don`t have to invest in dedicated wheel cleaners. I found that even with weekly cleanings, I still get my share of embedded brake dust that I need to remove with a tar solvent, Iron X Paste and clay before re-sealing the wheels.

Does the Opti-Coat Pro prevent any dust from sticking or would I still have to do that routine maintenance?

I am so sorry I just now saw your question - please forgive me..

Opti-Coat Pro has been on my 3 Bimmers, Honda CRV, and Grand Cherokee for over 3 years...

last I saw of all the vehicles except for the Jeep, none had brake dust build up that required more than just the normal car wash soap, a brush to get into the inner wheels, and a softer brush to wash the spokes off..

On the Grand Cherokee with 18" wheels, I have never had any brake dust stick to them very much at all, and certainly, not needing any kind of strong product to clean them.

The inner wheels always look perfectly clean and glossy, the outer wheels the same..

It doesnt take much to OptiCoat4-5 wheels (spare), and if you have time to put a couple coats on there, Im thinking your will be pretty much done with hard cleaning of wheels..

Now, you have to do great prep work first, and really wipe them out with something like Eraser, etc, a few times to make sure you have everything off and they are perfectly clean..

Then your product will be able to stick the best to the surface and keep it really clean going forward..

Im just mad I waited so long to do this...

Same for the exteriors - I have not done Anything to the Grand Cherokee in over 3 years now and its still really clean and glossy..
