    Toyota Tundra

Detailed a Toyota Tundra for a customer. His third time back. He told me up front that he had taken it hunting, so I had my work cut out for me. This truck never sees dirt or travels off road, So you can imagine my surprise when I saw the truck in its before state.

Mud stains, swirls, scratches, etc... were definitely a issue.

Full wash, then decon with nanoskin fine clay sponge. Wheels, tires, and wheel wells cleaned and dressed. Full 2 step polish session with Megs 5 inch cutting disc and followed by Megs M205. Coated with DP paint coating. Interior needed a full cleaning also. Seats were coated with Cquartz and carpets with 303 fabric guard.

(Background on myself: Ive been detailing vehicles since I was about 18 years old. Im 37 now. I quit in my early 20s when I became a full time firefighter. I always stayed up on the latest and greatest technologies of detailing. I always was known in my community of roughly 60,000 people, "that guys that keeps his ride clean even when it rained". I started back detailing on the side about 1 year ago. I did 11 vehicles by myself in one month while on vacation from the FD, I mean full on details (4-8 or more hours) Ive currently completed some major and minor details in the last year totaling 60 cars trucks/SUVs/boats)

I was very lucky. I was on vacation from the fire department in August of last year. After doing one vehicle, the lady posted it on facebook. From there it BLEW up. I managed to look back and saw I did 11 vehicles on my 30 day vacation. Some were two days and but most 1 day. Some required full on polishing and defect removal. Some only wanted your standard wash and wax or sealant. All wanted my interior jobs though. Price of being OCD.

Nice turnaround! Makes me wonder why some people choose a black vehicle. At least this gentleman is willing to bring it to its full potential.

yep, these fire fighters can`t deal with having a dirty truck around. it`s an occupational hazard and they`ll be the first to tell you" a clean truck is a happy truck "

Surprising how often you drive by a station here and they are either cleaning an engine or their own vehicles. I`d be afraid I`d get the wax on then ding ding ding.
