    RX-8 restored with CG Blacklight

I worked on this RX-8 a while back. Originally I was just to do a wash and headlight correction. After arrival I asked the owner, “are you sure you don’t want me to anything else?” He replied “yeah just go ahead and throw some wax on it.”
The paint felt like sand paper when washed and dried it. So I then sprayed it down with some IRON-X. The paint had the whole 9 yards for defects. Swirl marks, acid rain damage, etc.
Blacklight was applied with a 5.5 black pad and left to cure for about 20 minutes. After removing the blacklight I wiped the car down with V7. I was really impressed with the results.

    Headlights in really bad shape

Corrected with #105 and #205 using 3 inch yellow and black pads

    Now under the Blacklight

I was impressed with the results for not having done any correction work and the paint being in poor condition.

Very nice. I found that CGBL and black pad works very well on black Mazda paint.

I have noticed that it seems to work differently with different makes of Black paint. Well.. I guess that is the case with most products.

    thank you

Great POst and the car look really nice. I believe blcklight is alond the same lines as Black Hole. Do you have expereince with both? I am curious how they compare?

I am not a fan of filling except as a band aid until I have some time to polish, butin this case it seems the cusotmer for even more than they paid for!

Thanks for posting-headlights look great. How long do you fogure the 2 steps on the headlights took? I need to do my wife`s MDX that has an ever so light haze. Was thinking 205 on a white pad then eithere 205 or 85rd on black pad? Does this sound right to you?
