What to do on a cold day? Clean a `96 Porsche 911 C4S

Temps in the mid 30`s when I started, right at freezing when done.

Car was just dirty so no before pictures. Today I washed and followed up with Blackfire Ivory Carnauba Spray wax.

Two weeks ago I did a quick touch up of the finish using:
    • Flex 3401
    • Black LC pad
    • Meguiars D300 (Meguiars DA Microfiber Correction Compound)
    • Finished with BFWD

This was a very light polishing. I intended to follow up with Menzerna PO85 but the D300 finished so well that I did not see the need.

    Results…

Is this stuff, Blackfire Ivory Carnauba Spray wax, still available from Blackfire?

I really like it when I`m not quite ready to do another coat of BFWD.

I`ve heard someone ask about that spray before. I`ve never seen anyone with it before though. Hopefully it makes a comeback in the new line, I`d definitely pick it up. Oh yeah, the car looks great!!

Yes, it`s my car. I had an `86 for twelve years and sold it to buy this one about a year ago. So it`s my second 911, both bought used, and they are wonderful cars.

It`s not BFWD, but is a spray carnauba wax that Blackfire used to sell.

I had a couple cans and this is my last one.

It works great; spray on, wipe off, lightly buff, and you get a terrific shine.

My first 911 I had an extra set of rims mounted with Blizzak winter tires and I drove it year round regardless of weather.

Since then we got another car so I now have a choice.

The Porsche is my daily driver so I drive throughout the winter except when there is snow, ice, or lots of salt/chemicals on the roads.

Man, living in California, I`m sure glad I don`t have to detail in cold weather like that. We complaining at work when it drops below 65 degrees.

What a sweet looking car. That Blackfire Ivory Carnauba Spray wax looks interesting.
