I had to help out a friend with puting a tramsmission in his Talon to day, my GF was going to a baby shower. When I go home she asked if we could go out to eat...... so I shower and then we hop in the saturn and go eat, when we came out of the Restaurant there was a slight mist in the air. I said "hmm looks like a little rain" we get in the car and she says "step on it! i dont want the freshy washed car to get water spots!" I was like WTH! I asked he what has gotten in to her>? She said "the car looks great, no need do ruin it with the rain" I said " you are gettin worse than me!" She says "you are the one that made me like this" Then she says "the Stoners does a great job on the glass" I just shook my head in disbelef..........

So it looks like the bug has bitten her, but the funny thin is....I have to do all the work! O well fun aint it

i wish my wife would think that way. all she ever wants me to do is detail her car. She gets mad when i put hers off for a paying customer. When i do detail her car, within 2 days the inside is destroyed all over again with papers & crap. she is a school teacher and just lets things pile up in the car.

One day she told me that she can detail a car better than me if she wanted to. She went outside to detail her own car and in less the 10 minutes came inside and told me to finish it as it is to hot outside for her.

    Bwhahahahahahaha!!! Good one David! LOL

My wife is as into detailing as I am. We work together. She handles the insides and I handle the outsides. She`s pretty anal about cleanliness so she does a really good job on the inside. I need to teach her how to do the exteriors so we can start doing 2 at a time.

NY Detailer, my wife is just like yours........ loves the look of a freshly detailed vehicle, but wants nothing to do with keeping it up.......

I keep a bottle of QD and a couple MF`s in her car for her, with the instructions of "use these if your car gets dusty or bombed by a bird, because we dont want that to dry on there and scratch/stain."

does she do it?? HELL NO!! she says "but thats just nasty! I would get all dirty if I did that...."

I usually just look at her and say "better you than the car...... you`re not as big as the car and alot easier/more fun to wash. I can wash YOU everyday without feeling a bit bad about it. The car, however...... well I dont want to go thru a whole bottle of Z7 a month!"

    :p

Most extreme acid rain - water spots removal on a brand new peugeot- privilege detail

how to keep the white car white?

Malaysia is known for its tropical climate - plenty of heat & plenty of rain & plenty of acid rain = TA DA -------most severe acid rain
    in the world

how to keep the white car white it is too much a challenge to keep our ride clean & looking cool....not easy & quite hard to achieve it...ended up....we let other help us to do it.... for we know the best that we can ever do for our car is to take ownership of it......

good looking ride - just slightly 2 months old

my buddy actually calls ask me to help him to preps & protect this new investment

great looking ! clean ! detail??? especially under bright sun light - nothing will hide - so much so if you are trying to find swirls on a white car under the sun will eventually blind your sight...for those of you had -
i remember i did an E60 white & shot some pic under the sun, just before i sleep my eyes blink blink - comes watery - too much sun light entered into my retina - be careful !!! use proper shade or old negative to cut the glare of your camera view finder & proper sun glasses

    cant complaint much!!

lets move in - closer & nearer -

scratches - from parking curb - i guess

    more scratches

ehhhh....dirty car....any underlying issue?? will soon check it out...on the plastic bumper

    unwashed wheels & brake dust

    ehhhh...swirls???

    closer look...on the engine hood

    excuse the glare -

but is there a deeper issue?? - lets find out together

    more

    close up

    imagine

the amount of scratches & swirls found on these plastic - is also found on the ride as well

eg last rear 1/4 area next to the brake light

    door panel -

    close up

    more

    close up

some really deep scratches swirls - but only a 2 months odd car??????

    lots of works!!!

    the heart of the ride

    the inductor

plenty of water spots - esp on the windows

    unwashed wheels

    close up

washing begins with OPC - 1:5 part dilutions & wheel brushes for hard to reach area

    useful esp - wheels area

    now the wheels cleaning begins

    before
    closer

    tada

    now

    moving on
    petrol cap area

    side steps

    door jams area

opc work great for removing grease stains

    side skirt before

    after wash - close up

more - tars stains - tiny little splints like in our skins- can be quite an irritant

some found at the front bumper

rear lower bumper on the white car

STEP 2 - paint preps begins

and i actually took 2 hours to clay them off

    eg

tars spots on the left wheel arch area

ONR sprayed on as clay lubricants

    clay on

    gone off

    more stains & tar collected-

remember to check prior moving to the next area

    stains found on the emblem

imagine is just a 2 months old ride

    lets clay them off

    ta da

    now you see - before

    now you dont

more hidden stain beneath the rear windows

    lets do the clay

    side window water stains

    after clayed

needn`t to use force - as some road side car wash would use aggressive acidic cleaners & scrubs with force

    eg

tars stain beneath the rear bumper

    ta da

i will let the pic tells u

    a week later

    far away shot

    close up -

some thing look familiar - a week ago

more stains from water dripping at the car porch area

its time for celebration - imagine 10 minutes wash with ONR & 3 MF weekly maintenance - ta da

    welcoming the new ride

    roof

    effortlessly yrs

    What I did was
STEP 1 - wash - OPC 1 : 5 dilutions with brushes for all windows & stains area

STEP 2 - preps - CLAY with Onr as lubrications - removing tar spots & stains at the hard to reach area. ONR wash after claying

STEP 3 - Paint Corrections - Start off with Osren Velvet pad - Optimum Hyper spray compound ( 3 puff on the pad - speed 1 to spread - speed 3 - 3.5 to level out the paint -)

followed by LC double sided wool pad with Optimum Hyper spray compound ( 3 puff on the pad - speed 1 to spread - speed 3 to level out the paint -)

followed by LC Cutting foam pad with Optimum Hyper spray compound ( 3 puff on the pad - speed 1 to spread -gradually increase to speed 3 )

polish with Megs Polish pad with Optimum Hyper spray Polish ( 3 puff on the pad - speed 1 to spread - gradually increase to speed 2 & finish off at speed 1)

polish with LC Glazing pad with Optimum Hyper spray Polish ( 3 puff on the pad - speed 1 to spread - gradually increase to speed 2 & finish off at speed 1)

STEP 4 - Protection - Optimum Protection with Optimum Coating for good ( say bye bye to wax)

STEP 5 - need to be maintain by the owner - a weekly wash ( not road side wash again)

You can make a different ....... there is a real story

one day that there is a man who like to stroll on the beach prior going to work & he saw a young man like dancing, as he approach he saw this little young boy, throwing back the star fish into the sea - he ask there are miles & mile of star fish on the shores - its foolish of you to waste your time pick them up - you cant saves them all...this young man came back & pick up & throw another start fish into the sea & replied "for that star fish - i make a different"
it is always impossible to reach the world - even all the car owners in our country - but for this - i make the different

thanks again for taking your precious time to view

now could you pls give me some air to breath

a bit more - cool air

do you know why this is the most dangerous part of the ride ???

cos it is the nut behind the wheels

    have a fun filled day
