Once you go Black you`ll never go back!

Being an old fart and having had just about every colour under the sun what with personal or company cars, there is still only one colour as when Henry Ford started out. It can be a pain to keep clean (especially in winter) and at times it can frustrate you to no end but when done right it stands out above all others. One of the sweetest cars I ever had (back in the days of vinyl roofs) was black on black on black. I traded it on a new car and the dealer told me it was on his lot for 1 1/2 hours before it sold.
The new products are really superior now for detailing black.
Hey don`t get me wrong any clour can look better with some tlc but I just keep going back to black.
BLKZ28,
Where did you take that picture? Just curious, I remember most roads in Danville area, but did not remember that particular spot?
The Z28 looks awesome. My sister has a 95. It does not look as shiny as yours, but she gets compliments on it.

intacted. That picture was taken in Martinsville at the Liberty Fair Mall.
What color is your sister`s 95? There is a nice Red 95 Z28 convertible that I see every so often.
I hear that you got quite a bit of snow last week. We got about 7-8" in Danville. Most of it is already melted.
BlkZ28,
My sis lives in Richmond. Her Z is black. Ha, glad my memory is intact after all. Yeah, we got some snow, about 6 inches where I am. Most is all gone. Good thing I have the garage, to keep my new truck in. I had just ABC`d it before the snow hit. PPCL over the weekend on all metal surfaces. Just getting ready to AIO it tonight and maybe a coat of SG. Inside the garage it is about 48 to 50 degrees. Not too bad with a sweatshirt on. Keep on shinin`

Funny Blake. I just can`t get over the way other people use that line a bit differently. I think DK may have a point. Sometimes a greatly detailed silver car looks absolutely stunning. It just stands out.
I like Black, but right behind that would be charcoal.
BLACK!

Is that your car, William? If that is, I think you need to explain exactly what you used and how you did it!! Are you sure that`s black?!

finding the right angle and lighting. Well and a lot of Z5 . It doesn`t look so great if the shot was taken at a different perspective. I`m confident that same shot can be duplicated on an UNWAXED car with paint in fair condition.
My paintwork & detailing.
William is right though, you can get great reflections off a black car even if it`s not in such great condition. That`s why it`s scary to trust a picture if you`re a prospective buyer of a car, especially black. It can look great in the pic but in person be a dog. I strive to make mine live up to it`s posted personna. I think all of us here do. Cheers.
