I`d tape off all the trim around the windshield first, and then do a wipe down with a dammp 100% cotton towel or MF.
After that I would set my speed to about #3 and go horizontal and finish with vertical strokes.
This polish will not remove dings, and scratch marks. It will with "work" remove water spots and bug guts.
What can i use to get rid of scratch marks on glass then ?
As long as you cant feel the scratch with your finger nail, then you can order a glass polishing kit from eastwood, im pretty sure its expensive, but so is new glass.

Brad,
do you have a internet link for "Eastwood"? This seems to be the only thing if you can feel a scratch!
I`m a Zaino user, but I`m not a big fan of the glass polish they put out. I`m more into using Bon Ami with water to form a paste and doing it that way...
If you can feel the scratch then its beond repair, even with this kit. Heres the link anyway eastwoodco.com
Jazzy,
If you are going to use the PC go apply the stuff from Eastwood, you don`t need the kit. You can get just the polishing comound for $12.99. It says it can be applied with a polisher at 1500 RPM:up
Or if you want the kit I think it`s around $32. It comes with a polishing wheel you can chuck into a drill for the polishing.
Taking my signature to it`s MAXIMUM POTENTIAL

Showroom, this thread is for Irvin . If I had bad scratches I`d flip for a new windshield
I`m obssesive!!!!!
no.. my scratches are quite fine.... i don`t think i can feel them..
Will SMR or finesse-it work on glass ?
I`ll try the zaino first.
Hello everyone. I haven`t been around much but plan to starting this weekend. I wanted to start off with my very first correction, my wife`s 2007 Cobalt. I know this isn`t an exotic or luxury car that most of you are used to seeing or working on, but for my first time machine polishing I thought I would start out with one of our own vehicles. I did this correction quite some time ago and have had a little more practice since then. Please excuse the products used. Anyway, hope you enjoy!
