Don old buddy, you should post a picture of yourself. I`m curious about how your microfiber pants can be close to your heart.

    Re: maddening water spotting situation.

There is only one real solution I know of: a leaf blower!

Yes, if your neighbors have any remaining doubts as to your sanity, blow drying your car will instantly vanish them. They will -- without doubt or reservation -- know you are heavily OC (obsessive compulsive).

BUT, you will no longer have much in the way of water spotting AND the drying goes lightening fast. I use a Toro Pro electric (double insulated). No more water dripping out from under the chrome, etc. (you still have to wipe down the door jams and trunk interior rain gutters, but that is no big deal).

I do not think you can really claim to be a true detailing lunatic, unless you are seen regularly blow drying your car.

I just got done doing a QD on the Bimmer and my wife was getting her clothes ready for work tomorrow. She was looking for the lint roller. Why oh why did she first come to the garage and find me using it to get the back deck linted off?

The neighbors heard this laughing and carrying on in my garage and had to come over and join in on the fun. I`m now the putz that tapes his carpet for a quick clean-up.

But you know; it looks good

A little masking tape or lint roller will only takes a few minutes, just make sure your wife is not around!

I use the Toro leaf blower method too. At first the neighbors were looking at me funny, but then when I told them, they started doing it too!

I also use the leaf blower to dry out the engine bay after washing.

I always dry the jambs after doing a wash and apply QD. It only takes a minute or two and it always looks soooo nice!

Conversion of the neighbors is an excellent idea. Soon, the inmates will run the asylum.

The blower is so cool and it is mas macho than a towel. . . sort of a Rambo feel, yes?

    Red Harley Davidson

Did this bike recently, put about fifteen hours into it. It had some nasty bug splatter, a lot of bonded contaminants and the chrome was a bit lifeless.

I know that was some knuckle-bustin` detailing work there. There`s no easy way to do dressers like that except to spill some blood jamming your hand into places it won`t fit to get that last spot.

    great work.....
