    Interior Reconditioning Project

I was contacted to do an interior and engine detail on a Ford Cargo van by my former boss. I was told it was purchased from a man who was at one time homeless, and him and his dog lived in it for months. I thought he was joking..he wasnt. This was the nasiest vehical i believe Ive ever done. There was a seat that i think came out of a mini van in the cargo area covered in dog hair that I can only assume was thier bed or sofa. The entire process took over 30 hours

Steps, seats, console, door panels, lower dash panels, and anything else that could be removed and reinstalled fairly easily were removed.

The cleaning process consisted of using my heated extractor as a power washer on everything that wouldnt be damaged by water, just to get the top layer off. Then everything top to bottom was cleaned with Car Brite Xtra Duty, a jumbo vent brush and air gun followed with mf. Many places was also presoaked with Auto Magic Red Hot before hand. I also used the extractor on the floor and eventually dressed it with Pro`s Liquid Blue Ice. The rest of the vehical was dressed with Pro`s Premo. The seats were sent out to be repaired while i was doing my thing with it, and showed back up a couple hours before i was done.

    Thanks for looking.

    HOLY CRAP!

That is by far the worst interior I`ve ever seen in my life.... and the most unbelievable turn around I`ve ever seen! Awesome work!

That is an incredible turnaround. Looks new again. I`ll be sending a link to this thread to my new helper who will be doing mainly interiors so she can see what she might someday get herself into. Thanks for sharing it.

I wouldn`t have believed it without the "before"s. I would have run away screaming...or at least charged double.

Great job man! I was looking at the before and after pictures of the door, how did you get that speaker to clean up so well? I always have trouble with those...I had a trashed Mini Cooper to do this weekend but after seeing this it made me feel much better that somebody had a harder weekend than me

    Re: Interior Reconditioning Project

Speaker grills and tight areas like that are a snap if you have an air compressor. My process for interiors is pretty simple. Say a door panel, I spray the entire panel with dry foam (I personally use xtra duty), take a vent brush to every crack and crevice, then blow all those areas out before I wipe it down. The only prob with doing this is its messy and makes windows even worse to clean.
