I have a rather odd question that I am afraid I already know the answer to...

I had aftermarket fender flares put on my Tahoe and was somewhat dissappointed in how they looked. As such, I wanted to put some different flares on that, although smaller, flowed with the lines of the truck better. However, I discovered that they had drilled into my doors to install parts of the flares that are on now and the new ones I was looking to get will not cover the drill holes. There are 2 holes which are very small, maybe an 1/8 of an inch, but would be quite noticable given there position.

Anyone have any clue if it is possible to plug the holes? I was thinking there might be something I could put in to plug it then paint over and blend it in with the paint? Suppose I should call a body shop, but I always like to consult my friends here on the forum first.

    Help!

    The correct fix would be:

    1. sand off adjacent paint

    2. weld holes shut

    3. grind smooth

    4. apply filler until smooth

    5. apply surfacer primer

    6. apply sealer primer

    7. apply topcoat (color coat)

    8. apply clearcoat ( if applicable)

    - Tires got clean with APC+(all purpose cleaner +) and dress with endurance gel
    - green tape on all trims and area that needs to be cover
    - Paint was corrected with DA , compound with meguiar`s 105 on Green pad (light cutting pad). the test spot was made with polish pad and m105 but decide to go with green for a better cutting. The car was polish with meguiar`s 205 on white sonus polish pad.
    - Headlights and tailights got polish too
    - Protection : one coat of optiseal on foam aplication pad , and top with one coat of blackfire wet diamont on microfiber aplicator par , all done by hand.

    Claybar the hood

Very nice. So, 105 and a green pad worked well..did you use KBM?
