Some of this week`s work

The first two are a pair of interior details; both of which were done with an APC, Woolite, detail brush, nylon scrubber and a few microfibers. Using kissmetrics (keep it simple, stupid) can produce a huge difference.









A brand new M3 detail, fresh from the dealer who was instructed not to do any prep. The owner is a great customer of mine and very particular in terms of product/process. Previously I`ve gotten him to try different product lines but it`s also important to listen to your customer and do what they request. This got Megs Gold Class two bucket wash, Clearkote fine clay, P21S Paint Cleanse, 1Z Glanz, two coats of P21S, Megs Non Silicone Dressing on the tires.





This Range Rover was in rough shape and belonged to another regular customer. I charged him for a one step polish, but threw in the M105 on green and M205 on blue combo on everything above the body line where the scratches were heaviest. The remainder was finished with M205 and topped with Natty`s Blue. The sun was starting to hide behind the trees when I finished, so the pics are a little deceptive but I`d estimate there was at least 80% correction.






Yes, there is still wax on the hood in some of those RR pictures. I had to get something on record before it got any later.

Definitely not the vehicles I work on, thank goodness. I would have my car guy status revoked if I only got to see Insights, Civics and Priuses.

Everything from the most simple ideals like using a refillable bottle for my drinking water, only reusable towels and if it weren`t for SprayWay Glass Cleaner I wouldn`t even carry any aerosols.

To using a rinseless product like ONR on 80% of the vehicles I see, non corrosive/non acid wheel cleaners and biodegradable, citrus or enzyme based cleaners.

And taking it as far as recycling my two bucket wash waste water, electronic receipts, a dyno tuned pressure washer, and purchasing an Astro instead of an E250 or Super Duty.

I`m not going to save the planet by cleaning cars. Most of what I do, others do as well and didn`t even realize they were being environmentally responsible. As an example- many of us already realized the benefits of a gentle wheel cleaner for sensitive wheels over something with hydroflouric acid, but few realize the benefit to the environment and our health.

No, but it had the mess the size of a mini van stuffed into a Focus. I didn`t get the year of the car, but it`s obviously got more than a few on the clock. Owner said it was never cleaned- let alone detailed- ever.

Thank you sir. Rather than post 11ty huge pictures, or spend half my time with a tripod on the job. I take a dozen, pick the most representative before and afters, and use some custom Photoshop Actions to do the work for me.
