Zaino Detail on a BMW Arctic Metallic

While I am NOT a detailer like most of you, I`ve learned a lot from all your posts and since my baby turned one year old, I gave her a good cleaning and exterior detail over the past few days...
(she`s had weekly washes from the day she was delivered with a foam gun and either Z7 or the CG Citrus and Gloss... she also gets weekly interior cleaning so not much required there for now...)

Washed with CG Citrus wash and gloss (about 6oz to help strip off all old sealant)
303 Aerospace protectant on the wheels.

(for those Zaino fans - this one`s for you)
Clayed (Z18) (caused a little marring, but that was taken care of by the next step)
ZAIO followed by a Z6 wipedown
    Z5 w\ ZFX followed by a Z6 wipedown
    another Z5 w\ ZFX followed by a Z6 wipedown
    Z2 followed by a Z6 wipedown
    another Z2 followed by a Z6 wipedown
ZCS followed by a Z6 wipedown
    Z8

For all those real detailers out there who do this for a living, my hats off to you.

btw, does anyone else use 303 on their wheels? It seems to do a good job, but doesn`t seem like it`s very common...

    ooops: meant tires...

thanks...my guess is there are more specific products out there that most use...

guess that`s just one more thing to place on my list of products to purchase...

Great looking BMW! Looking great! What type of machine did you use and what pads too. I have use 303 on tires and haven`t had problems with it.

    Your car turned out nice.

303 looks pretty good on tires but it doesn`t last very long for me. My favorites are Poorboy`s Bold N Bright or Z-16.

Hey hey hey Boo Boo, your car is looking better than the average bear`s!

Sorry, I just couldn`t resist the Yogi Bear joke.

Seriously, it looks like you take great care of your car. I used 303 on the tires once and thought it looked okay but it seemed like it would be an expensive tire dressing. I`ve not used PB Bold & Brite ... yet. So far my favorite is Pinnacle Black Oynx Tire Gel. It is expensive but a little goes a long way and I have found it to last a long time and hold up against the weather.

I`ll eventually try something else out on the tires... I just have lots of 303 around as I use it on many other things around the house... and on my kayak... it`s that UV protection in it that I really like...

as for my baby - yeah, I try and take care of her inside and out so she`ll last a long time and continue to sparkle...

The whole treatment was done by hand... I don`t own a polisher/buffer yet... "yet" being the operative word as I have a 10 year old 4runner that I`ve now learned has never been washed properly, waxed properly, although internal maintenace has been well taken care of... I plan on learning more from the rest of everyones posts and videos before I attempt taking a buffer to the paint... call it a new hobby/obsession... my neighbors think I`m nuts...

Car looks great. Zaino is some nice stuff.

Did you use the ZAIO by hand or machine?

So it rained for the first time in a long time where I`m at. When I went out to the car after work, the water was beaded up real nice - not one drop bigger than a dime. After starting the car, I drove maybe 5 feet and hit the brake. There wasn`t a single drop left on the hood of the car. (a few drops on the window, but seriously not a single drop of water on the hood.)
    I wish I had a video camera...
