    06 Viper SRT-10 (Ouch) & 99 GS 400

I received a call about 2 weeks ago, from a Viper owner who purchased the car brand new from a NJ dealership approximately 1 year ago. He informed me that the car had obviously been left outdoors by the dealership and was a victim to acid rain. I figured that a one year old car could not possibly have deep etching in its clear and figured I was in for a light job. Boy was I wrong !!! The clear on this 2006 Dodge Viper was heavily etched along the vehicles entire topside.

Took about 4 steps to remove about 80% of the etching, and would require a complete wet-sanding to totally remove the deep etching. The owner was very happy with the progress made, and opted not to compromise the clearcoat with the more aggressive wet sanding.

One of today’s details was a 1998 Lexus GS 400 w/99 k miles. Black on Black, the owner was a very nice college student who has fell victim to abuse in the parking lot at school.
Luckily the Lexus/Toyota ss paint system cuts like butter and about 75% of the of the parking lot scratches were eliminated by 50%/50% split of Optimum Polish w/ Hi-temps Heavy Cut Leveler.

Both Cars were sealed with Meguiars #21

I am sure the Lexus owner was happy with their car as well.

I`ll bet the viper fell victim to lot wash syndrome.
