Acura RSX - Kawasaki Ninja Photo Shoot (56k Beware)

Lately I`ve been greatly inspired by Motor Trend/Car & Driver`s automotive photography, as well a couple members on this forum I decided to get some nice shots of my car. I think the only time I posted pictures of my car was when I purchased it, which was over a year ago, so I figured I`d "hone" my photoskills(lol) and give a stab at automotive photography. Since it`s all about the light and your background; I had a hard time finding the perfect location. I had taken two previous sets (earlier that morning and the previous night), and I wasn`t happy with either set. These five are my favorites from the group. I had to take different exposures of the same shot since I don`t have any graduated neutral density filters and didn`t want to under/over expose part of the photo. This was probably the most PP I`ve done so far, which isn`t saying a lot, but I`m already learning something new everytime I use it. I know there are a couple things I could have done better, both before and after taking the shots, but I`m pretty happy with my results.

Both vehicles we`re wiped down with Poorboy`s Spray & Wipe 20 minutes prior to the shoot. My car was waxed with Poorboy`s Polish w/ Carnuaba (Blue) about a week ago, and the bike has had #21 on it for around a month.

Sean: PP included a lot of clone work since the parking lot was filled with lines and overgrown weeds. You can kinda tell where I cloned in the 3rd picture. The 3rd and 4th picture was taken with multiple exposures so that I didn`t blow out the sky or underexpose the car. I ended up copying the sky from the underexposed photo and lining it up with the overexposed photo and did the necessary cloning to smooth it out. Other then that it was your basic cropping, canvas rotation and playing with the exposure levels and white balance settings in RAW.

What kind of of camera and lens did you shoot your photos with? Did you use a flash or lighting? Also, did you sharpen the photos in PS?

Canon Digital Rebel XT w/ Tamron SP 17-50mm f/2.8 no flash used all natural lighting. No sharpening in PS. Only PP was some cropping, cloning and layering different skies with different foregrounds.

nice ride and sweeettt bike!!!! I`m a bike man to. My mom wont let me get one till im 18 she thinks im going to kill myself on one. but i also like cars and that is a nice car to. the photos are really great! i like the brick backround.
