    Fender before / after (Poorboys)

Picked up a few fenders from a few body shops around town. Wanted to play around with different processes on test panels instead of my truck and customers` cars...LOL
    To make some swirls:
First, I cleaned the area on the fender with some Fantastic and a nice rough washcloth. Didn`t produce alot....
Picked up some dirt and gently rubbed it in the paint....think I did too much.....Nah....
I than took a scotch brite pad and rubbed it around in circles....LOL
    Bingo............

    now to remove them all....

    Process:
Poorboys SSR 2.5 x1 with orange edge 2k pad
Poorboys SSR 2.5 x1 with blue edge 2k pad
Poorboys SSR 1 with blue edge 2k pad
Poorboys EX Sealant via applicator pad, left for 15 minutes in the sun.

Still had some scratches from the dirt I rubbed in.

    Just thought I`d share.

    Chris looks good
But when you said fender I thought I was going to see a guitar

Oh... by the way, try some ProPolish with different pads I think you will be pleasantly suprised with the results

    What pads would you recommend?

That will depend on the job that you have to do.
When I say different pads I am not referring about a different manufacturer, I am talking about the different level of cut.
I watched it used with a wool pad right down to a finishing pad.
There are some pics in this thread and I think that Sean (G35stilez) has a few more pics on his website.

Basically 1 product giving you many different results

Very nice results, I need to try and find some test fenders around here for free or cheap. Ive never worked with 2.5 before or any poorboys polish. I mainly use Optimum or Menzerna...Is there dusting with poorboys products? Thanks, and great job again!

I have light dusting with 2.5, but I think it is because my pad gets loaded sometimes. Not much though.

Thanks for the help! The only product I will continue to use from Menzerna is the FPII....I get too much dusting from IP and PG.

I`ll be getting a hood or fender soon to practice with the rotory polisher. Once your done with the fender do you take it back to the shop & get a refund if you paid for it? I think that would be fair enough. great job on the testing.

I just go to all the local body shops and ask if they have any junk fenders they are throwing away....preferably a dark color. I would never pay for a junk fender.......
The junk yards want too much money for one. I went to all of them and asked for a damaged fender. They asked for what.....I said anything, as long as it is a dark color and has, at least, a 1.5 x 1.5 ft straight section. They said 30 bucks....I said bye.....
