Nice black 1986 SVO Mustang corrected and coated

Had the pleasure of getting this very nice 86 SVO Mustang up to the next level with some correction work and a one year coating. Yes this is a real deal 86 with the rare factory option wing delete that the SVO are known for. I`m sure the purists are turning in there grave with the small block in the engine bay instead of the factory 2.4 turbo 4 cylinder.
This client is someone whom I`ve known for the better part of 10+ years and he has always owned clean Mustangs. This car got dropped off already cleaned to the point of not even needing much prep except for a light wipe down. The car has a very nice single stage black paint job that looks a mile deep now that its corrected.

Prep- light wipe down with Mckees waterless wash on the go
correction- Rupes Duetto/Adams swirl killer mini, Boss microfiber cutting pads, Rupes yellow/Rupes white pads
Products- Boss fast correcting cream, hyper polish, Menzerna SF3800
LSP- IGL Poly 1 year coating
Wheels- Wiped down with IGL Enhancer

I didn`t get any before pics as I was having some technical issues with my phone lol.

I had an `84 SVO. Went through 2 turbochargers on the 2.3L "Pinto" Motor. Traded it in on a `85 Toyota MR2. NO comparison.
Understand perfectly well WHY the owner opted for the small block Ford V-8.
Still a very fun car to drive in the dry; the wet was a handful, to say the least, with wide tires, a less-than-perfect engineered Fox-body front end (as Ford found out when it engineered the IRS suspension for the newer Boss Mustang) and solid rear end axle.
Wish, though, the SVO owner would have kept the OEM rims and Goodyear tires, although I am sure it is ALOT cheaper to have the rims and tires he/she/they have now.

Yeah along with the build small block it has a full Maximum Motorsports tubular suspension in it. Including a torque arm style tubular rear suspension similar to the 3/4gen fbodies.

Thanks bud. No definitely not original paint. This car has had a pretty involved restoration at some point. The inner front wheel housings are nicely painted gloss black as is the whole engine bay.

Thanks brother. Your posts keep me motivated! I`m slammed with work for the next 2.5 months. Have a brand spanking new M2 straight off the tailer with plastics on it that`s getting a ton of protection work that I`m in the middle of doing. A 72 Nova and a brand new raptor all this week. Very blessed.

Need to start saving for my toy I want lol.

That looks incredible. Better than new for sure with perfectly detailed paint. Purists be damned, I`ll take a V8 over the turbo 4 anyway! Again, you nailed that one.
