    Buddy`s WRX

Hey everybody, well school finally gave me my spring break last week and a good friend of mine drove down from NorCal to hang out with me for a few days. He drove his new-to-him Subie WRX. I was real glad to see him, and not so glad to see the car. I can`t let my friends roll like that so I took him under my wing and showed him a thing or two about detailing, using his car as the demonstration.
He had been driving it through all manner of nastiness, snow, sand, salt. All that good stuff, so it was definitly a big project. Marred, swirled, IFO everything. And according to Murphy`s Law it was necassary to be raining when we were all finished, so after shots are in covered garage in Long Beach. Sun broke on the way home, got ONE in the harbor.

    Final Process:
    Megs Gold Class wash
    ClayMagic Clay (blue)
    Megs Gold Class wash
SSR2.5 with Megs Red pad PC@6 (workin it STRONG) multiple passes
PB Pro-Polish with Propel green pad PC@3.4-4
    Klasse Sealant/Glaze
redundant sealant with EX-P (15-16 hour cure)
    Natty`s Blue X 2
PB Trim Restore for all trim
    Mothers Endurance tire Dressing
    AA on wheel wells
    AIO on headlights, wheels.
    Invisible Glass

    Before

    After

    Some Flake

Sun was out for 4 minutes

There you go everyone. Questions? Comments? Bring it on. Thanks for looking.

Great improvement! Hopefully your buddy was paying attention throughout the detail so he can keep it looking good.
If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you can read this in English, thank a soldier.

Nice work. It looks great. +1 for the Subie love.

How long did it take to get this car done? Considering you used two sealants and a carnauba topper it sounds like it was a three or four day project.

Just like Lucas said, (it`s his car) we did it all in about 24 hours from start-finish. Started about 5pm with wash, clay, wash outside, then moved it into the garage and worked until about 1 or 2 in the morning. Let the sealants cure for about 12-13 hours then did trim and wax the next day starting about 2 pm I think. Took pictures at around 4 or so. It was a lot of polishing, but the sealants we did together which saved a bit of time I beleive. Note we did almost NOTHING to the interior other than vacuum and glass. So there ya go, one crazy mission of detailing.
