    Mustang GT First Detail

Well Honestly I am not totally impressed with the job that I did. Or at least the final results. It took me 4 1/2 hrs and I feel the car is still missing ????. Maybe it is just the color? In the direct sunlight it really doesnt look any better, but on the hood you can see some swirls, that I had to have created. Atleast I didnt see them there before :dunno

    Using all PB products.
    Wash
    Clay (DP Clay)
    Wash
SSR1 (SSR2 on the right rear corner for some scratchs)
    PwC
    Nattys

The SSR and PwC where done with PC with Wolfgang pads from Autogeek. The Nattys by hand.

Please any comments or suggestions :huh

Are you sure you created the swirls? Swirls are a lot more visible in certain lighting. Were you looking at the car in the sun before and after? I think it looks pretty good. Are you not crazy about the look, or just mad about the swirls or what? Swirls take a bit of practice to defeat.

The swirls are upsetting but really the look is not one that I like. I saw a Silver truck the other day in town that just looked Ultra wet, you know?

    Beautiful Mustang!!

You might want to consider polishing the whole vehicle with SSR 2 or 2.5 if there is still significant marring present. Follow up those applications with either SSR1 or PwC (or both). It is quite possible that you introduced new marring to the paint surface but given the mild polishes you used I`d say it is highly unlikely. The only scenarios in which it could have happened and you burnished the paint would be: 1) you did not use enough polish 2) you worked the product too long 3) you used too much pressure on the PC 4) your pad somehow got contaminated. As I said before given the products you used I still find it highly unlikely you burnished the paint but it is possible.

As far as overall look you might want to try using a sealant like EX-P on your silver Stang. Sealants and light colors are always a happy marriage.
