    A 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1

    Wow, what a machine!

Belongs to Liz`s brother. I detailed it as a birthday present to him. Most of it is original, the paint is not though. 46,xxx orig miles. Everything was in pretty excellent shape. The paint had a lot of swirling though and the roof was badly marred/dulled. Single stage dark green paint. Final processes:

    -S+W
-Opt Clay with S+W as lube
-Optimum Car Polish via rotary and LC Cutting Pad @ 1500 rpm
-Optimum Car Polish via rotary and LC Finishing Pad @ 1500 rpm
-Clearkote Vanilla Moose by hand on EVERYTHING
-S100 Paste Wax by hand on paint and chrome

    -303 Aerospace on tires
    -Hyper Dressing in wells

    Before

    After

Notice the depth increase and more sparkle to the metallic

    During

    Afters

    My fav shot

At the car show (diff camera)

    Enjoy!

Awesome! I`ve had 6 of these 69/70`s over the years. Absolutely my favorite car. The 428`s would sceam. A warmed up Cleaveland would spin to 8500 RPM`s. Now you`ve got me started. One of my friends has my first car (70 Mach I), I owned it 30 years ago. Man I would like to have it back. I sold it to him for a song. This one`s beautiful and green isn`t my favorite color. Great job.

Beautiful car...I didn`t know they had single stage metallics...I didn`t think it would make sense anyways.

Sean being that it seems you detail for birthday presents.... My b-day will be coming up in september! Awesome work!!!! how did the engine compartment look? Did you get to drive that beast!

If he ever gets bored of that car ...I have a Garage bay that it would look great sitting in!!! I hope he wouldn`t mind if I painted it black!!

    Re: A 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1

    Thanks all .

Eric: I`ve been for a ride before, yes. Much more torque than my Integra .

Racer: More of a "Cruise Nights" type show. However, there was a Camaro there with perfect paint. No OP to speak of. I was absolutely blown away. Pics later...

John: Pics below. Not 100% swirl free as the paint is rather thin and I didn`t want to push it, but its far better than it was.

    Craig: Danbury, CT.

Nick: It was a bit dusty, I didn`t get to it in time. I will next time I am there.

    More pics!

Great job on a great ride !!! What do you think about that Optimum Polish?

Many claims about the versatility of that polish. Have you used it long ?

Dean: I`m already through my first bottle.

The polish goes FOREVER! No dusting, minmal splatter, and infinite working time. I like that you can use it in the sun no matter what. Your pad chooses your aggressiveness and you have to make very slow passes, but the stuff leaves an excellent surfaces free from any oils. What you see is what you get. I ended up buying 2 more quarts since I know this is a product to stay.
