Re: Autopia Guide to Sportbike Detailing
Absolutely beautiful job.
I don`t have the patience to do a job like that. Bikes are tougher than cars and that was complete attention to detail...
But one question.... With the coating you said work it in over a 4 sqft area. So one spray shudda covered entire bike?

Wow, amazing as always, you could detail my wife`s mixer and it`d be awesome - you got the touch!
And - hope the girl friend gave you at least a home cooked dinner!

I believe the time spent was around 15 hours total, with taking pictures. I could likely have gotten it down to 12 hours or less.

Thanks Pockets. To answer your question from the other thread, my old `05 CBR handled much lighter, likely due to the inverted forks vs. the standard forks on the 03. My ZX-10R is far more flickable than either. The only bikes I have ridden that can transition as quickly are the new Ducati Panigale and the 07 and up CBR600RRs.

Something that is often overlooked, missed or generally not done is the lubrication of all joints. pivots, levers and cable ends after a wash or ride in the rain. A shot of WD40 or water displacing lubricant in all the switches can also save you headaches down the road.
Excellent points!

I want to say I used about 5 mists to coat the entire bike.
