Month to Month Earns and Expenses

How many of you part time weekenders keep track of your expenses and earnings?

I`ve not in past years but decided to this year.

I have an excel spread sheet separated by month and listed

customer, car, date, charge, email address

I figure I can see how much I am spending to making, since this has never been a primary income for me. I`ve not felt the need to record it. This year I decided to keep track

I can also see how long its been and can send a email about "wash & wax" or other specials I might run to generate biz.

    Anyone else doing this?

I do! I also have columns to include which service they picked, their phone number and address, etc...I have a separate spreadsheet for what I spend on chemicals...Helps me to decide what I should buy in 5 gallon drums over the winter.

I guess my reasoning was to really understand what I am making ans spending plus seeing it on paper makes me want to get more cars
