    getting mobile????

o.k. it`s time for me to invest in a enclosed trailer etc. i have always just used the water and power on the property but i would like to get a pressure washer gen. etc. i will be trying to buy a extractor, generator, and water tank all at once so here`s my newb ?...........will a basic $200-300 pressure washer run off a tank say 110 gal.? what all will i need to make the attachment from the unit to the tank?..i know quality counts but i`d rather have a good gen. and extractor and scimp on pressure washer until i can upgrade later

    Re: getting mobile????

I can`t speak for hook ups, but I went on the cheap with pressure washer for a long time. Now I can use both the electric & the nice gas one I have, and except for some jobs, all you are saving is a little bit of time. The $2000 pressure washer I want isn`t coming anytime soon.

If you do a search you may find some helpful starting out type threads.

On extractor: it can take a while to pay these puppies off. If you are just starting out, I`d consider a $1000-$1500 job over a $3000 puppy. Just my opinion.

Yes most any pressure washer will work without the need for a pump (gravity fed). I use a heavy duty 3/4" garden hose. I chopped off the end and just clamped it to the barb coming out of the tank.

do you have to mount the tank above the hose reel or will it flow with the tank on the floor?

on the extractor i was going to get a mytee light 8070 for around $700 whats your take on this unit?

You don`t have to elevate the tank but I have raised mine 1 1/2" before (the skinny side of a 2x4) in an old set-up I had. I never let my water run that low so you might not be able to use the last 5 or 10 gallons of water in the tank.

Good thing I saw this.....I have been shopping for a pump due to the hype about "residential" Pwashers needing one. I p/u mine from lowes and it uses a screw-on type hose...I was fixin` to have to spend some more $$$. I could see getting one if I was going to be doing this full-time..but for us PTimers...I like your method better.

Thnx Troy..once agian you saved the day...
