    good winter help

    o.k. in florida we dont really have a winter, but business always seems to drop off between Nov. and Jan. so i was wondering about adding some new aspect to my business this winter any ideas?

    no winter here in texas either. I like to say we have Summer and Fall only.... lol

    I would imagine the decline is Holiday Spending. To be honest, December was one of my most profitable months last year.....

    how have you kept their interest in the holiday months? i have even offered Christmas gift certificates for clients to buy for loved ones.....i have started playing w/ headlight restoration

    last year was my first year.
    I did no advertising, except business cards at 4 lube shops. Everything was word of mouth. How I stayed busy through December was a shock to me, as I STRUGGLED all last year.

    This year, I started advertising in the phone book, and it has landed me NUMEROUS jobs, including several contracted fleet jobs. Shoot for them, they will keep you busy in the "winter time". Guaranteed income.

    I offer headlight restoration, and do not get a lot of calls for it. I usually get someone to purchase the service if I am already out detailing their car. I see the lights and tell them what I can do for them.


    But honestly, I say shoot for fleet jobs..... even if they are just simple washes.

    what are you charging for headlight restoration? i have been trying to land fleets also i hope to land so more thanks for the help
