    license and permits

who has them? I am having a hard time finding an info on these for Texas. EPA regulations, water runoff, etc...The City offices are a joke to talk to. "Mobile what"? "Carwash what"? Anyone point me in the right direction?

    Re: license and permits

Sometimes I`ve discovered that it`s best not to bring it up -- as for the water run-off, the following might link help point you in the right direction:

    http://www.epa.gov/region6/6en/w/pw.htm

you also might wanna review the following PDF

    http://www.tceq.state.tx.us/comm_exe...284_171231.pdf

    Good luck

From what I`ve seen down here, Texas doesn`t have environmental regulations.

    Re: license and permits

Not all states require you to reclaim due to the filtration system that they have installed. We are just required to carry a business license (peddlers license) but must check with each city for their requirements to be able to do business there. A police officer told me that it should never be a problem working in the different cities but told me to make sure that I keep my papers with me.

It looks suspicious when you see a car or truck loaded down with equipment in high class areas. Even if your car is a nice car or truck.

About the re-claim in Texas. I couldn`t find anything about it. I know there are hardly any storm drains around here anyways. I may see one or 2 here and there.
The water usually evaporates before it runs anywhere....lol
Also cannot find anything about needing a permit or license????

    Re: license and permits

SC had rules requiring collection, if over so many gallons of water were used. The limit for reclamation was pretty high. The state and city was sensitive to fundraiser car washes. These rules helped out. I found this information on the SC health and environmental control web site. Perhaps TX has something similar to use. I had to contact the health dept with specific questions but I had a little insight before the call.

Maybe some diggin in here TCEQ Publications - Texas Commission on Environmental Quality - www.tceq.state.tx.us. Checkout the water link at the top.

Specifically for big car washes. Environmental Rules for Car Washes - Texas Commission on Environmental Quality - www.tceq.state.tx.us Haven`t read yet.

It`s looking like TX is gonna pretty stiff with reclamation rules. Just like CA. You could fail conservative and get a collection mat. Mobile Wash Mat - DE1900

Hope this helps. Good luck, you`ll need it dealing with govt agencies.
